It gave my Benelli M2 American softer recoil, considerably. I don't have the comfort-tech stock, so I can't speak about it, but this easy replacement of the stock pad has made a big difference in recoil AND muzzle jump, in my opinion. There weren't many instructions and it took me a few seconds of looking at it to figure it out, but it snaps right on. One problem with that is, it can snap right off too. I jumped out of the truck once, grabbed the gun and the Limbsaver had snapped off and still in the seat of the truck. I got worried but it snapped right back on and I went to the field. That has only happened once and I think I sat on the stock a bit, which put some pressure on the pad and it came loose.I am really happy with this product and would buy again without question. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful HUGE upgrade over the factory recoil pad!, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Limbsaver Speed Mount Recoil Pad For Benelli Md: 10400 . (Misc.) I've had my Benelli Nova Tactical for 6 years and when I shouldered it for the first time with this new recoil pad, it had a very different feel to it. Much more comfortable with an ergonomic curve as opposed to the factory pad which had no curve and was very stiff. The limbsaver was very simple to install too. There's a frame that comes with the limbsaver and it goes inside of the stock for the screws to thread into. The Nova's factory pad pops off, insert the frame and screw the limbsaver onto it. I mounted on a Benelli Nova Pump. At first I thought I purchased the wrong item. It looked so different from the original stock pad that came with the shotgun which was just a solid piece of rubber. WIth the limbsaver, you have to put in the plastic plate inside the buttstock and pull out to the edge--it should bend into place since it wasn't intended to fit perfectly. After that, it's just a matter of screwing the pad on the end. It took me a few mins to figure this out.Another minor issue is that it's very easy to strip the screws if you don't apply enough pressure on the screws. Since you have to place your screws & screw driver inside the rubber pad, you can't see the screw head. I was afraid if I applied too much pressure, I may break the plate inside the stock, but it held quite nicely.
